Our room has aircondition problems. Room is so cold. After that we changed our room but aircondition still not working. Also not clean enough. They have no slippers and another things. Employees are problem solver, we are okey about their behavour.

The location for central Berlin was very good. During oure visit we were close to many nice Christmas markets. And many of the turist spots is just a short walk away. Easy and early check in was appreciated. Breakfast was good. Cleaning and service was very good. Nice saunas, (instructions for the infra red sauna i did not find). The main bad part for us was the beds in oure room. We both got really bad back pain and could not have a full night sleep at any time during oure 4 night stay. No english spooken tv chanals exept news was a bit borring.

Four of us stayed here 27/12-31/12 in two separate rooms. Really liked the hotel, friendly staff, clean rooms. In a relatively quiet area but by no means ‘dull’ as described by some reviews. Within a short walk is the cathedral, numerous opera houses / concert halls, an upscale shopping area and restaurants. Breakfast is good and would recommend choosing this option in your stay. Would stay here again. Only downside is rooms are quite hot and there is no air con it seems.

Overall, a nice hotel with some drawbacks that stood out given the room prices. Advantages: + Location is convient to Berlin State Opera, Museum Island, Konzerthaus Berlin. + Location is quiet + Hotel is large enough for some amenities, but not too large -- it was quick and easy to get from my room to the street; there are also three elevators, which helped. + Breakfast buffet ample, good breads, well managed. It appears the kitchen will make an omelette for you but I didn't learn about this until my last day, when the person sitting next to me had an omlette to-order. The staff gives no indication of this service. + The bar area had a small menu, which came in handy. Tasty food (but typically high hotel prices). + U-Bahn stations are 10+ mintue walk. Taxis are not plentiful at the street, but I used Bolt app for car service which works very well and is reasonably priced. Drivers typically knew this hotel's location. + Small convenience store across the street on far corner. Oriented towards alcohol and salty snacks. Has a small deli, but closes early. Disadvantages: - Longish walk to restaurants and shops, even more so for a variety store (e.g., DM) or grocery store; these require special trips. Hotel does not have a shop. - No concierege; front desk staff does not fill the gap. You're on your own. I can search for places on my phone, but that turns dinner into a project. - The two coffee machines in breakfast room couldn't dispense a plain espresso. Had to have chocolate and milk in your espresso. Ridiculous for this class of hotel. Brewed coffee offered, which was drinkable. - The desk staff told me the breakfast room closed at 11, but the staff started putting things away at 10:30. - TV channels were very limited for those of us who don’t speak German. The hotel had many non-German guests. The other channels were old American shows dubbed in German. Outdated entertainment package. + My room was overdue for touch-up/renovation. Walls scuffed up, furniture worn. A friend's room on a different floor looked like it had been refreshed.

Attention especially to agencies. This hotel has behaved very poorly, and we will soon be taking legal action. The hotel sent a contract and does not want to honor it, asking for extra money which we believe was not stipulated. They keep demanding payment of 500 euros without any flexibility.
